One of the highlights of the year for BetterTrades is the annual Traders Super Summit, a three day event that brings together each member of the stock market education company's team for a block-fest of learning and fellowship. The Traders Super Summit continues to grow in popularity with students, who follow the company's coaches and embrace the educational material designed to help them better understand the stock market.
The first Traders Super Summit was held in Dallas, Texas, in the summer of 2008. This is where former football coach Jimmy Johnson, who led the Dallas Cowboys to a pair of Super Bowl championships, officially joined the BetterTrades team as a spokesman. Johnson was a recent graduate of the Market Essentials program and told his story at the meeting. Johnson gave an inspirational keynote address before the hundreds of students dispersed for their homes. Others who spoke at the meeting were specialty coaches Darlene Powell, Markay Latimer, Ryan Litchfield and Bob Eldridge, and Market Essentials coaches Dale Zamzow and Rob Roy. The Master of Ceremonies and host was founder Freddie Rick. The introductory Financial Freedom Expo was also recorded at this meeting, with Scott Schilling the host for the presentation.
The 2009 Traders Super Summit was held in Orlando, Fla., at the Walt Disney World Resort's Swan and Dolphin Hotel. Jimmy Johnson returned for the meeting and brought a couple of his friends from the NFL: Ed McCaffrey, a three-time Super Bowl champion, who played primarily with the Denver Broncos, and Thurman Thomas, a member of the NFL Hall of Fame who spent most of his career with the Buffalo Bills. This meeting offered another chance for BetterTrades to film its infomercial, which was hosted by TV spokesperson Erica Schaffer, BetterTrades founder Freddie Rick and Jimmy Johnson. Making presentations at the Traders Super Summit were specialty coaches Darlene Powell, Bob Eldridge, Markay Latimer, and Ryan Litchfield, and Market Essential coaches Rob Roy, Dale Zamzow and Doug Sutton.
The theme for the 2009 event was "Trading Magic" and from the reaction of most attendees the event was a magic week. The limited VIP tickets, which permitted students to have special seating and share their meals with the speakers, were in high demand. Those in attendance enjoyed the proximity to the attractions of Disney World and many were able to share the theme parks with their family when the times of trading instruction were finished.
Because of the overwhelming popularity of the Disney experience, the event will return to Orlando for an encore performance on June 17-19, 2010. While the plans are currently in the works, the staff is hard at work in an effort to make it the best one ever produced. Details will be posted on the BetterTrades.com and the Traders Super Summit websites as they become available.
