Freddie Rick, BetterTrades Founder

Freddie Rick's development as a trader and entrepreneur is further proof that success can come from modest circumstances. The founder of BetterTrades spent his childhood in a small town in Louisiana, raised by his working class parents, but went on to create the leading stock market education company in North America.

Freddie was always a high achiever and a goal setter, who was not happy unless he was the best at whatever he did. That became obvious when he outperformed all the other kids in Kentwood, Louisiana, and won a radio as a prize for selling the most candy for a local service club. His entrepreneurial traits led him to create his own small businesses, selling peanuts and snow-cones by the side of the road, and creating a device that could peel potatoes into fancy shapes. After graduating from high school, Freddie Rick enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and proudly served his country. He was an excellent marksman, was trained as a sniper, and rose to the rank of sergeant before entering the private sector.

He worked in multi-level marketing, and then had some personal setbacks before finding his true passion: trading. That's when he began to implement the strategies and systems that serve as the foundation of the BetterTrades program.

Freddie Rick saw the potential in the stock market and began to work with the various strategies, applying the techniques that are taught by the company today. Freddie was simultaneously studying for his CFS tests and was developing a comprehensive knowledge about the inner workings of the stock market. He found his niche trading options and set about to get the right knowledge to trade them successfully.

With the assistance of his wife Mitzi, Freddie began the process of implementing what he had learned about the stock market. The going was slow and there were losses along the way, but Freddie wasn't discouraged and continued to learn from his mistakes. Soon he had used the strategies and plans, which he called the A-B-Cs and 1-2-3s of trading, that would become the foundation of the BetterTrades system used today.

At that point Freddie and Mitzi began to take the message of aiming to achieve financial success through the stock market to cities all around the country. That led to the introduction of BetterTrades in 2002 and it has gradually risen to represent excellence in the area of stock market education. Thousands of students from various parts of the world go through the BetterTrades program each year in an effort to reach their own personal goals. It's the result of one man's vision and his refusal to quit when things got a little tough.
