Bob Eldridge, The Professor at BetterTrades

Bob EldridgeWhen it comes to a trading philosophy, BetterTrades coach Bob Eldridge believes traders need to learn to run their accounts like a business. With his practical educational approach, Bob instructs students how they can learn to develop short-term, medium-term and long-term trading accounts to potentially meet daily cash flow demands, provide financial stability and accumulate wealth.

Bob's beliefs are born out of past experience. For 15 years, Bob earned a good living as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Agency. He could afford a nice house and a nice car, but after paying taxes and health benefits, Bob realized he was only bringing home about half his paycheck. There just wasn't enough money to go around at the end of the month.

Frustrated, Bob began to seek out new ways to make extra income. The stock market caught his attention after he noticed a pattern in Walmart stock - it would go up three or four dollars, settle back to where it started, then repeat the process. Bob bought 100 shares for $18 and sold it the next month for $22. "It was the sweetest $400 I ever made," he says. It also launched Bob in a new career direction.

Realizing that learning to trade the stock market could make a difference for his family, Bob funded his trading account by selling his home and purchasing a smaller one. Using the profits, he began to learn to trade in earnest. His hard work paid off as three months later, Bob quit his job and became a full-time trader.

During his trading tenure, Bob authored a book called Making a Living in the Stock Market, which chronicled his story and described the strategies he used to make better trades. He joined the BetterTrades team as a coach in 2003 and has taught thousands of students how to adopt his practical business approach to trading the stock market.

Bob resides in the Dallas area near his sons David and Chris.
